SvaraRaderariktigt bra bok. borde intressera göteborgare. dokument från en egendomlig tid och en osannolik sysselsättning
RaderaThis looks like an interesting book. Sadly, not translated. Yet, I hope. Otherwise I might have to try a Swedish book one day. LOL
SvaraRaderait´s very interesting. it´s a document of a special time, a special work and a story about how persons working with culture suddenly had to find other employments. please, excuse my English.
RaderaYour English is great, I wish my Swedish was only half as good as your English. I understand a lot but that's it. I love reading your blog because that way, I hope to learn a little more of your beautiful language.
SvaraRaderaWell, anyway, I thought your description was so interesting and I see the problem. Actually, my son had a similar problem. He graduated during the pandemic (in Göteborg) and then couldn't find any work in his field. He carried on working in the pub he'd been working in during his master's studies and was glad he was in Sweden because over here, all the pubs were closed and he wouldn't have been able to work in that field, either.
thank you, Marianne, for your kind words. Cykelbudet is an important document and perhaps more is to come from other authors. Your son was lucky to have somewhere to work already.
RaderaYou're welcome, Mrs. Calloway (do you have a first name?). Yes, I am sure there will be other works like this.
RaderaAnd my son knew how lucky he was. He saw many of his co-students go back home and live with and off their parents. He appreciated having a job. And they seemed to appreciate that he was available all the time now, so definitely a win-win situation.
my first name is Evy, (sad to say). and
Raderagood for your son´s mom to know that her son had a ob to lean on.😷 I think that the youth have to seek for some time to find a work that correspond with their education
Why sad? It's a lovely name.
RaderaOh, we were happy he could sustain himself. We offered, of course, he could come home and look for a job from here but he said he was alright and rather wanted to live on his own means. And he was lucky to find a good job after a while, one that he had been studying for and wanted.
